In close consultation with experienced surgeons the demands for the MEDIC OR lamp were assessed: the lamp shouldIn the warehouses of Medic everything that may be useful to our clients (with the exception of medicines ) may be found: hospital inventory, medical instruments, OR equipment, bandages and suture material, syringes and needles, uniforms, bed- and OR linen, blankets, wheelchairs, equipment for revalidation etc. We co-operate with sister organisations in those situations where we cannot comply with the requirements.

When visiting MEDIC
FOUNDATION doctors from rural area’s often enquire whether we can
supply an OR lamp suitable to be used in the tropics.
This was a challenge to our technicians and they succeeded in designing a lamp that complies with the abovementioned requirements. The adjustable lampcross consists of 4 beam units with halogen (car-)lightbulbs of 24 VoltDC/ 70 Watt. The 4 lights can work continuously on 220 Volt AC through the transformer that simultaneously acts as a battery charger for the 2 back up batteries. |

External fixation is also a safe method to reduce compound or infected fractures and in temporary fixation of joints. |
